In this piece, ten feet of folded canvas form overlapping, chaotic waves beneath the image of a drowning disciple in a stormy sea reaching upwards to Christ. Piece belongs to a larger body of work focused on large-scale, experimental interpretations of ecclesiastical stained glass panes, wherein I attempt to appropriate sacred religious imagery and bring it down from lofty heights to be on the same plane as the viewer.
